So sometimes, we get to help plan events around town that aren't business affiliated, and it is so much fun to branch out! I have been a part of Antiques at the Gardens at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for the past two years. This year I'm super excited to be chairing the Friday night event--After Hours at the Gardens. Working on this event really excites me because it is for a fantastic cause, and I get to work with so many lovely people on the different committees. At the After House at the Gardens event, we will be bringing in a pop up shop element showcasing some local makers that might not otherwise participate in an antiques show. In the weeks leading up to the event, we will be showcasing those vendors here on the blog. We want to sing their praises and get you all excited for what will be a fabulous event. First up, we want to introduce you to DILLEN Jewelry!
DILLEN is the collaboration of mother-daughter duo Jan Carlson and Jordan Carlson Dillenberg. DILLEN was born out of the remarkable bond, and love between mother and daughter. Throughout Jordan’s childhood, Jan and Jordan were inseparable; traveling from coast to coast showing their beloved horses. In her early motherhood, Jan Carlson was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout her 14-year battle, she found solace in design, specifically jewelry. With an arsenal of talent and experience, Jan peaked the interest of Jordan’s future in design. With over plus twenty years years of design experience, specifically jewelry, DILLEN aims to infuse symbolic motifs and the notation of a truly timeless collection with a slight edge. After Hours at the Gardens is free with the purchase of a General Admission ticket to the Antiques at the Gardens Show. It will take place Friday, October 7 from 5-7pm. Come as you are and enjoy cocktails crafted by Real & Rosemary with Cathead Vodka and Clyde Mays Whiskey. We hope to see you there!
