Since we get asked so often, Clay & Mary Grace put together their best attempt to help make the process of registering as painless and fun as possible!
THINGS WE REGISTERED FOR THAT WE LOVE
Wedding China
We know that some people roll their eyes at this and say, “when do you ever use it?,” or what-have-you, but a better question is, “when else do you have such an excuse to ask for it?!” Wedding china is so special and sentimental. You can pass it down for generations and it will be one of those gifts that you will hold dear forever. It’s not exactly what you will be treating yourself to with that paycheck of yours, you know?
Keep in mind holiday china when registering! You will not regret it! Nothing gets us in the holiday spirit more than a Christmas themed table scape. Spode’s Christmas Tree pattern is a classic holiday china that you and your family will enjoy for Christmases to come.

Le Creuset Dutch Oven
The Le Creuset Dutch oven is a perfect example of cookware that is both functional and decorative! Be intentional when you register. Make sure you do your research and find pieces that are durable and that match your taste!
Serveware
Like it or not, we are now at the age where we are expected to start hosting showers, engagement parties, and holiday dinners. Serving to the masses may sound intimidating, but having the right serveware makes a world of difference. Annie Glass makes trays, bowls, and cake stands that are beautiful and dishwasher friendly. Silverware
Let’s be honest, silverware is an afterthought. It’s one of those kitchen staples that you start to acquire or collect once you leave the nest. Somehow, random forks, spoons, and knives make their way to your drawer. Believe us when we say, people notice ugly, mismatched silverware. This is why we wished we would have registered for silverware! Two sets would be ideal, one for everyday and one for special occasions.
Towels and Bath Items
No matter what stage of life you are in when you get married, it is probably time for new towels. Some of our brides still have a hodge podge of towels lining their closets. One thing we hear is, “we wished we would have registered for monogramed towels like adults.” New bathroom linens make a bathroom seem fresh, clean, and more inviting. Plus, it is really fun to see your new initials on things!

Practical Kitchen Items
A lot of our brides get too focused on the decorative items and forget to register for practical kitchen items such as measuring cups, mixing bowls and spoons, and appliances. Coffee makers and KitchenAid mixers are often left off the registry. Brides often seem to think that these items are less appealing than china or that expensive serving tray. When in reality, these are things you need and use on a daily basis!

The Latest Trends and Gadgets
We all get sucked into the latest and hottest new trend and when it comes to your registry, it’s no different. You may want to register for that $400 juicer or that air fryer that you saw on QVC, but keep it smart and practical. Let’s just face it, registering for a fancy espresso maker isn’t going to turn you into a barista over night! Opt for items you will actually use, like a blender or a crock pot.
Too Much of the Same Thing
You definitely can have too much of a good thing when it comes to a registry. Be mindful when registering. Mix it up with your serveware, glassware, and table ware. We all love charcuterie, but do you really need 10 cheese platters? And how many champagne flutes do you actually need?
WHAT WE’RE NOT INTO: Honeymoon Funds
If you can’t afford a honeymoon, just don’t go on one. At the end of the day, it doesn’t make you less married. You can always save up and go later! Your friends and family don’t really want to fund your lavish trip to Hawaii or pay for you to swim with the dolphins!
