5 Tips when looking for the gown of your dreams
1.) Go in to your appointment with an open mind! Every designer has a different fit, signature and all around aesthetic so don’t exclude anything! Each dress has it’s own personality, try to be inspired by trends but don’t let it drive your decision. The beauty of searching for your gown is you get to see yourself in all different shapes and fabrics until you come across the perfect one that will compliment everything you’ve been looking for.
2.) Keep your entourage to a minimum. Too many people in your appointment can be extremely overwhelming and stressful! Having a few close friends and/or family members who will help you make a clear decision on what you’re ultimately picturing yourself in.
3.) Don’t over-do it! If you’re going to go to multiple appointments in one day try and limit it to two, if even that. If you don’t allow yourself enough time to process what you’ve tried on then you’ll be nothing but exhausted and confused!
4.) Voice your opinion to your bridal consultant. She is there to get to know your personality, style and ultimate vision of your wedding day so don’t be scared to speak up! The more information you give about your likes and dislikes, the more gowns she can pull to better suite your style.
5.) Set a budget. A budget is important to have in mind so you can find the dress you love while not spending outside of your comfort zone. You will feel beautiful without adding financial stress to your planning process by setting a budget you are comfortable with prior to your visit.
